Adding to its already impressive repertoire, Legal Era Magazine organized the 7th Annual GENNEXT Business Congress 2018 in India’s financial capital, Mumbai. The Conclave, held at Hotel Taj Lands End, was spread out over March 23 and 24, 2018 and saw meaningful participation from top GCs, business professionals, promoters of companies, directors, CEOs, and lawyers from different parts of the world. There were as many as 25 concurrent panels and plenaries over the course of the two days led by national and international speakers of renown.

The inaugural session of the Conclave was aptly titled, “Business & Law, Impact Of Regulatory Regimes, Global Developments & Future Strategies,” and saw the likes of Anand Desai, President, TiE Mumbai, & Managing Partner, DSK Legal; Dr. Lalit Bhasin, President, Bar Association of India & Society of Indian Law Firms; and Geoffrey D. Creighton, Immediate Past-President, In-House Counsel Worldwide, & Member, BlackRock Canada IRC; Consulting Editor, Legal Era Magazine taking to the stage to elaborate on the central theme and objective of the Conclave. Aakriti Raizada, Founder & Managing Editor, Legal Era Magazine, Legal Media Group, India, declared the conference open with a warm welcome to all attendees. “The two-day 7th Annual GENNEXT Business & Law Congress 2018 has been conceptualized and constructed with a view to precipitating a collective voice on what should be the desired regulatory framework and what should be the approach of major stakeholders towards it...”, she said.

Bukola Oyinlola-Anuwe is the Head of Chambers (Abuja Office) at Perchstone & Graeys. She was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. She is well respected for her in-depth knowledge and experience in the practice of law proven over 12 years post call and this has seen her work with high-profile clients and foreign clients.

In the course of her career, Bukola has worked on a number of sizeable transactions in various fields including Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Corporate Commercial, Debt Recovery, Private Client to name a few, participating in advising, drafting, and reviewing contracts in relation to the same.

Bukola has a sound understanding of intricate and complex legal issues in her chosen areas of practice. She has extensive knowledge of law and has worked on several multi-million naira transactions including: Advising Counsel to an International Company on an acquisition transaction to the tune of N550 Million Naira; Counsel to a financial institution on brief to recover the sum of N 85 Million; Debt and loan recovery agent for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON); Advising and reviewing of an EPC Contract of a Refinery to the tune of $73 Million Dollars; among others.

Bukola is also quite knowledgeable in corporate and commercial transactions and has participated in advising and reviewing contacts and conducting due diligence in relation to the same.
